To celebrate the International Day of People with Disabilities, in the morning of December 2, 2016, at the Provincial Hall of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh Province, a conference was held to honor people with disabilities, orphans, andsponsors of Tay Ninh Province for the third time in 2016.

The list of attendees included Mrs. Le Thi Thu - Former Minister, Chairwomanof the Committee forPopulation, Family and Children Affairs and ViceChairwoman of the Children’s Rights Protection Association of Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Minh Tan - the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc –Vice President of the People’s Committee of the Province, and more than 300 people with disabilities, orphans, sponsors in the province as well as the Disability Research and Capacity Development Center (DRD).
Recipients of the certificates
During the conference, the Vietnamese Association for People with disabilities and Orphans awarded certificates to 7 groups, including the Disability Research and Capacity Development Center(DRD) in Ho Chi Minh City and 10 outstanding individuals who had been sponsoring people with disabilities and orphans in Tay Ninh province between 2015 and 2016. In addition, the Provincial People’s Committee also awarded exemplary peoplewith disabilities, orphans who overcame obstacles as well as individuals, groups who supportedactivities for people with disabilities and orphans.
