In the presentation of the Department of Construction, the presenter pointed out three reasons why many construction works have not met the standards for people with disabilities: "(1) The obstacles of the construction of accessible for PWDs are due to the perception of investors, the consultancy units, designers and construction company. Most of them are designed for the majority of users rather than the categories for PWDs. (2) Investors, especially for non-state funded projects, often ignore this requirement because of the high cost of construction (design costs, materials prices, and signposts). (3) The inadequate perception of the departments about social responsibilities for people with disabilities leads to the lack of control of design, construction (appraisal of basic designs of the public buildings, urban transport infrastructure, and offices of state agencies). Therefore, the proportion of buildings that are suitable for people with disabilities is low. "Accordingly, the representative of the Department of Construction said:" ...the departments should enhance the responsibilities for state management, strengthen the guidance to evaluate and inspect the completion of buildings before putting them into use and supervise the implementation of national regulations and technical regulations on construction so that PWDs can access and use buildings and transportation; to build a number of pilot models on access, use of buildings and traffic for mass diffusion. "
At the workshop, Ms.Trinh Ngoc Lan, vice president of Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and the protection of children's rights, said: "... the park is a place where people, regardless of age and sex, can enter. But there are not any slopes for people with disabilities. Even at some parks, people close the door and send the key to another department, so whoever wants to enter need to contact, therefore I find it unreasonable. I think public places must be paid attention so that everyone can enter or have guidance to enter the park."

Mr. Nguyen Tan Phuoc – a person with disability in Tay Ninh shared: "I am a person with disability but I am not wasted, and we must always find job to live. First of all, I am very happy to participate in this workshop, it has brought us closer to the society. We are very happy to see that people with disabilities are carered about by DRD center and other departments. I would like to have a club for people with disabilities so that PWDs can share and help each other integrate into society more easily. "
The workshop ended at 11h45 the same day.
